Pony Express Parkway Extension

The Pony Express Parkway project is a planned 5-lane roadway that will be phased by initially constructing a new 2-lane roadway from Center Street in Lehi to the location of the future Vineyard Connector Road to be constructed by UDOT (approximately 700 West in American Fork). The project will also construct a new segment of 700 West in American Fork from 800 South to 620 South to improve connectivity to 200 South and the UTA Frontrunner Station. Active transportation will be enhanced by extending Lakeshore Trail from Northlake Park in Lehi to 700 West in American Fork.

– Provide more regional connectivity
– Improve active transportation options along Utah Lake
– Provide a critical connection to the Vineyard Connector Road
– Complete Pony Express Parkway from Eagle Mountain to the Pleasant Grove I-15 interchange
The Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) approved $12.6 million for the Pony Express Parkway extension, and $2.8 million for the Utah Lakeshore Trail extension. American Fork and Lehi will contribute a local match, totaling about $860,000, split equally between the cities.
